As the 3rd event of our "PKUAA-NC Cleantech Forum Series", we welcome you to join us this coming Wednesday (7/1/2009) with Dr. Xin Zhu, who is our alumni and now the president of Haosolar (

Xin used to be our buddy in bay area, and he returned to China a couple of years ago to start his own company, which turned out to be an exciting journey.

Xin spent most of his time in China, and on travel, he happens to be in bay area these few days, and we consider it a great opportunity for those who are interested in solar energy, China business opportunity, and going back to China.

Topics to cover:
In this seminar, Xin will share his experience in starting up a company in China, especially on how to raise funding and avoid the pitfalls that many Chinese returnees could face, as well solar market in China.

Bio of Xin Zhu:

Dr. Xin Zhu currently serves as the President of Haosolar Co., Ltd, a cleantech company that he co-founded in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, CHINA. In less than a year, Haosolar has grown into a leading concentrator photovotaic (CPV) system and solar tracker company in China. Prior to Haosolar, Xin co-founded Photo2Easy, Inc., a Chinese online stock photography company based in Beijing. Xin has many years of experience in founding organizations, technical consulting, innovation, and fund raising. He was the receipt of IEEE MTT-S Graduate Fellowship and Overseas Chinese Student Fellowship.

Xin holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan, a B.S. in Physics with honor from Peking University.
